The town of Beit Sahour is part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. It is 80% Christian and, as with other towns in the territory, it faces a mass exodus of its youth due to the deadlock in the political situation.
Surrounded by checkpoints, close to the separation wall in Bethlehem, its young people lack prospects and are often unoccupied and unemployed.
These organisations in Beit Sahour currently lack funds and structure. This is why two French local councils decided to help their counterparts in Beit Sahour through a development programme.
